Learn photography and software techniques to capture memorable tango moments from your official

HTF3 photographer.

Sunday, January 17 5:30-7 (class)

$40 until January 2/ $50 at the door

(cash or check day of class)

 

This two-day course covers the following

·         Saturday

o    Camera gear suited for low light photography

o    Camera settings for non-flash dance photography

o    Your rights as a photographer

o    Photography techniques

·         Sunday

o    Software  techniques

o    Your rights as a photographer

o    Practica shooting session assignment

o    Class critique of student work

What to bring to class:

·         DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera preferred (or camera with manual controls)

·         Your camera manual

·         Monopod or tripod (optional)

·         Laptop with Photoshop (or another photo editing piece of software)

·         Cable release (optional) 

 

Note: class is limited to 10 students

About the Photographer

Alejandro Almanza was raised in deep South Texas and is formally educated in Michigan as an electrical engineer and photography technologist.  His work has been sold to private collectors, displayed in several art galleries around the country, published in several tango magazines around the world.  Alejandro has been the official photographer for tango festivals around the nation.  He currently lives in Houston where he is an avid tango dancer, and is currently working on a book to be released in 2010.
